Optional Experiences 

Participants were given the option to extend their stay to enjoy additional experiences such as:

  • Hot Springs (pre-trip) 

  • Waterfall Hike (pre-trip)  

  • Serval Wildlife Camp (pre-trip)  

  • Shopping and sightseeing in Moshi, Tanzania

  • Visit Zanzabar to experience the island’s beauty through guided tours and adventures

Trip Impact

By the Numbers: In partnership with TAFCOM Tanzania and Zara Charity, Friends-Together continued making a lasting difference in the Moshi community through education, health, and empowerment initiatives.

2025 Impact Highlights

  • 2,900 reusable pad kits distributed — promoting dignity, health, and school attendance for girls and women.

  • 75 pairs of shoes and socks provided to school children at the Moshi Kids Centre.

  • 185 family health insurance policies funded, ensuring access to essential healthcare for vulnerable households.

  • 13 tailoring students graduated from vocational training — gaining skills for economic independence.

  • 12 monthly medical clinics and food pantry distributions delivered ongoing community support and care.

  • 2 full-day education events reached 300+ participants with health education, honest conversations shaped by participants’ questions, and shared meals.

  • 6 school education sessions held with reusable pad distributions, empowering students with knowledge and resources.

  • 1 major community outreach event held in one of the most rural areas, extending vital services to hard-to-reach families.

  • 12 solar lights distributed

  • 40 soccer balls distributed
