AIDS Quilt Display at Community Center Through Friday

Friends Together will host an AIDS Quilt Display at the James P. Austin, Jr. Community Center, at 315 N. Walker St., now through Friday, Nov. 16.


A community AIDS education program will be held Friday, Nov. 16, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Both the exhibition and class are open to the public There is no charge to view the quilts or attend the class, but donations will be accepted to benefit families affected by H.I.V.

Scheduled to attend are city commissioner Alex Wheeler who will present the proclamation and soloist Joice Webster who will provide the music during the commemoration and recognition of AIDS victims.
